JONGOMERO

Parc National du Ruaha

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

The Kingdom of Elephants, Laba Jongomero Camp inspires a quiet strength. Velvets from major French publishing houses (Nobilis, Élitis, Maison de Vacances) in earthy tones are punctuated with leopard patterns—an ingenious device to deter the intrusive and sometimes destructive monkeys.

Earth again, expressed through clay chandeliers, each bead hand-shaped by South African women, and the traditional zellige used in the showers, imported from Morocco. Indian or Syrian furniture with bone inlay, along with colonial armchairs in aged teak, further enhance the sense of travel.

Animals are everywhere: in the dining room, where you are surrounded by wildlife photographs by the renowned French photographer Laurent Baheux, and on the terrace, where solid bronze monkeys await you for a cocktail…

…There, in Jongomero, time has stood still. Take the time to live, to contemplate, to dream, and to feel this energy .animal and plant life that surrounds you, envelops you, and soothes you…
