LABA LABA NGORONGORO CRATER
LABA LABA NGORONGORO CRATER
CENTRAL SERENGETI
OPENING FEBRUARY 25TH 2026
Laba Ngorongoro Crater will open its doors on February 15. Built on the historic site of the former Rhino Lodge, the oldest lodge on the crater, it enjoys an extraordinary location just steps from the Rim and closest to the park entrance. From here, the views stretch across lush forest to the Oldeani and Makarot mountains.
As a tribute to the lodge’s heritage, the original curator’s house has been lovingly preserved. Once home to Henry Albert Fosbrooke (1905–1996), the region’s first ecologist and the driving force behind the creation of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its UNESCO status, this symbolic residence will now hold our reception, bar-lounge and boutique.
A LUXURIOUS COCOON
Nestled at 2,200 meters, Laba Ngorongoro Crater will offer a warm and luxurious retreat.
Each of our 20 spacious 50 m² suites will include a comfortable living area, a minibar and espresso machine, a dressing room, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a private terrace. From here, you can take in the sweeping views and watch buffalo and waterbuck grazing peacefully just below your window.
