These safaris take place on the lake bordering the lodge. Depending on the time of day, breakfast or lunch can be served by your Private Chef, who joins you on board for the occasion. We also offer a romantic version: a sunset boat safari with aperitifs. Other boat safaris can be organized on the Rufiji River. Boat safaris allow for close encounters with hippos, offering the chance to discover them from a new perspective.
WALKING SAFARIS
Walking safaris take place near the lodge and allow for the observation of fauna and flora, as well as various tracks that you will learn to decipher under the guidance of your expert. During this excursion, you will have a good chance of encountering elephants; you must therefore pay close attention to the safety briefing from your guide, who will be accompanied by an armed ranger and a Masai.
DRIVE SAFARI
As at Jongomero, you will have a private vehicle and guide at your disposal. Game drives at Siwandu have a particular charm as they are conducted in legendary vintage Land Rovers, highly prized by our guests and perfectly maintained.
FISHING
You can fish at Siwandu, primarily for catfish which can easily reach 20 to 25 kg. Please note: a catch-and-release policy is in effect, and fishing is subject to availability.
NIGHT SAFARI
The night safari at Siwandu is a fascinating experience that can take place before or after dinner, according to your preference. This safari allows you to encounter species that you will not see during the day.
